Mr Steven Philip Studio

Steven Philip is one of the fashion industry’s go-to gurus for all things vintage. Regularly contributing to publications such as LOVE, i-D, Another etc, Philip also works in consultancy with major global fashion houses. The Dundee born collector has one of the largest collections of Vivienne Westwood and John Galliano which he keeps as part of a permanent collection at his archive/ showroom ‘Mr Steven Philip Studio’ in Brighton.

The diverse collection ranges from the early collections of Vivienne Westwood, John Galliano and Alexander McQueen, through the Japanese greats, Comme Des Garçons, Yohji Yamamoto and Issey Miyake, to cult 80’s/ street fashion such as Leigh Bowery, Sue Clowes and Christopher Nemeth. Alongside the museum-worthy pieces, Philip has a constantly changing selection of garments available for research, hire or sale. 

A collector, hunter and gatherer, Steven’s passion is with finding the wonderful and the rare. After over two decades running the world-famous vintage mecca Rellik, Steven’s new venture is in fashion and creative consultancy, operating a ‘by appointment only’ service from the brand new Brighton studio.

With clients ranging from renowned stylists to artistic directors, Steven offers a highly personal, interactive and bespoke research and consultancy service.
